A new heating and air system is a 15-year decision. Here is exactly what stands behind the ones we install — and what you can hold us to.
Manufacturer parts warranty — registered for you
Every new system we install is registered with the manufacturer by our office, in your name, within days of the installation. That matters: an unregistered system usually gets only the shorter base warranty, and most homeowners never know it. You get a copy of the registration confirmation with your paperwork. As a GE Authorized HVAC Pro, we install GE Connect systems that carry GE’s registered parts warranty on the compressor and components.
American Comfort labor guarantee
Parts warranties cover the part, not the technician who replaces it. Our written labor warranty on new installations covers the labor to diagnose and replace a covered part during the warranty period — you get the terms in writing at installation, not as fine print afterward. Ask your comfort advisor for the labor warranty sheet before you sign; it is the same one that goes in your file.
Our installation guarantee
- Done right or made right. If something about the installation is not correct, we come back and fix it — no arguing.
- Sized for your house, not guessed. We size replacements with a load calculation, not the number on the old unit.
- Commissioned and documented. Every system is charged, tested and checked against the manufacturer’s specifications before we leave, and the readings are recorded on the job.
- Clean and respectful. Drop cloths, shoe covers, and we haul away the old equipment.
- Free second opinion. If another company told you that you need a new system, we will tell you honestly whether you do.
Repair warranty
Repairs we perform carry a warranty on the part and our labor to install it. USA Club members also get 15% off repairs and priority scheduling — see the USA Club page.
Keeping your warranty valid
Manufacturers require regular maintenance to keep a parts warranty in force. Two tune-ups a year — the USA Club plan — keeps the records that prove it, and catches small problems before they become warranty claims.
Frequently asked questions
Do you register my new system with the manufacturer? Yes. Our office registers every system we install, in your name, and you receive the confirmation with your paperwork.
What does the labor warranty cover? The labor to diagnose and replace a part that is covered under the manufacturer warranty during the labor-warranty period. The written terms come with your installation paperwork.
Does my warranty transfer if I sell the house? Manufacturer parts warranties often transfer with a fee or reduced term; it depends on the manufacturer. Ask us and we will check the terms on your specific system.
What if I did not buy my system from American Comfort? We service all brands. Manufacturer parts warranties stay with the equipment, so if your system is still under its parts warranty we can usually process the part claim for you; labor is billed at our standard rate.
